Don’t Fall For This Phishing Expedition

This phishing email turned up in my inbox the other day. I needed to either confirm or unsubscribe to something. What it might be, isn’t really specified.

However, many people might automatically hit that unsubscribe button believing they’ve accidentally signed up for something. Others might worry about being accidentally unsubscribed and hit the green.

Either way, it doesn’t matter. No matter which link you choose, you’ll be directed to a suspicious website that will either attempt to trick you into downloading malware or steal your information.

The only time you should expect to see a confirm subscription email is right after you subscribe to something.

Always make sure to read everything before clicking.
