Windows 11 Voice Typing is a great feature that turns your voice into text. To activate it, press the Windows Key + H. The menu will pop up at the bottom of your screen.

Just click the Microphone to start. You’ll see a notification that Windows is listening. Just start talking to use. Make sure you’ve clicked in the program where you want to type, whether it’s a document or a text field on a form or website.

Here’s the result in Notepad.

Here’s a Facebook post.

Click the microphone to tell Windows to stop listening. Try it out and tell me what you think.
Hi Cyn! Thanks for presenting this! I’ve been planning to look for voice-to-text, and this very responsive. Easy to start, easy to use, easy to stop. Now if it only would insert punctuation and do capitals, I’d be delighted with it. with one program (I lost track of which one) it told me to use auto punctuation. Most of what I’ve found so far is punction correctors. They may do the trick. I’ll keep you posted.
One thing—it asked me if I would send voice clips “to help improve the service.” I don’t mind doing that but could find no way to stop it if I wished. I looked through FAQs to no avail. Any thoughts?
As usual, thanks for all the news, tips, services, and watchouts you present us with. Warmly, John
