Folks who use the Kindle app on their Android phone or tablet now find themselves in the same position as iPhone and iPad users, they can’t purchase and download books from their apps.
Amazon says the changes are in response to new rules in the Google Play Store. This is unwelcome news to writers like myself who want it to be as easy as possible for readers to purchase books.

Instead, readers must add a book to their wishlist, open a browser, and then purchase the ebook from Amazon.

If you own an Amazon Fire tablet or Kindle Reader, you’ll still be able to make purchases directly from Amazon while reading a book.
