A few of you had some questions about the recent search highlight icon added to Windows 10 search box. You’ll see it at the right of your Win 10 search box and the image changes depending on what Windows wants to highlight.
Click it, and your search box will open to display what it wants to highlight. In this case, the icon looked like a golf ball because Windows wanted to highlight news about a golf tournament.
If you aren’t interested in seeing this, here’s how to get rid of it. Right-click on a blank spot on the Taskbar and choose Search.
Uncheck Show search highlights.
The icon will disappear from your search box.
