A reader has a question about when her upgrade to Windows 11 will be ready:
“My Lenovo desktop used to say they were preparing for the upgrade, and now it just goes to the website for general information Will I be able to get a free upgrade? The health check app says it is compatible, and it is only two years old.”
You should be able to get the upgrade. You may want to contact Lenovo customer service and find out what the delay is.
If your PC is compatible with Windows 11, you could just download the Windows 11 Installation Assistant and use it. Follow think link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11
Then click to download the installation assistant.
Once the assistant downloads, click run. It will check to make sure the hardware is compatible, and then you’ll have to agree to license terms.
Just follow the instructions. You may have to restart the PC a few times.
