If you have issues that make reading difficult or just enjoy listening to audiobooks, I’ve got a service you’re going to absolutely love.
Any audiobook fan knows they can be expensive to purchase or listen to through a service like Audible. Librivox offers audiobooks that you can download for free.
Start by heading over to their website: https://librivox.org/pages/about-librivox/

Libribox books are read by volunteers. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, click the link on the home page.

If you’re just here to give it a listen, you can browse the catalog by Author, Title, Subject, or Language. Or scroll down and check out recent posts.

Or use the search box to look for a particular narrator, title, or author.

When you find a title you like, just click Download.

The compressed audio file will download to your Downloads folder. Click on it and choose Extract in File Explorer.

As you can see here, each chapter shows as a separate audio file.

Just click to play on your default audio player for your PC or open in the player of your choice.
Cyn, Can these be downloaded to a CD for listening in a car while traveling? Would one need to do the paid download to make a CD to take out for later listening. This would be for personal use only.
George, you can download all of the LibriVox recordings to your heart’s content. You can burn and share the CDs with as many people as you’d like. As one of the LibriVox volunteers, I assure you that we want you to get the word out about us. Donations are welcome, but never pushed. Enjoy!
