Sewing Machine Scam

A friend of mine shared this scam on social media recently. The post claimed that a well-known sewing machine company had a bunch of slightly blemished sewing machines that they were giving away to someone who shared the post.

It looked way suspicious, so I did what I always do, I checked out the page that posted it. I clicked the About tab and checked the page transparency.

The page had only just been created and had just a few hundred followers. So, I decided to search for the actual company’s Facebook page. It’s not hard to tell which one is the real one here.

The real page offers live sewing lessons, sewing groups, and other sewing related information.

Always do your research before you share posts. Sharing this post just gives scammers access to your friends.
