How to take a screenshot in Windows 11

If you’ve got the latest Windows 11 update, you may have noticed an interesting change. When you hit the PrtScn key, instead of grabbing a full screenshot that you can paste into another program, the Snipping Tool opens.

Click and drag to select the area you want for the screenshot.

That image will automatically copy to your clipboard.

You can also choose to capture a freeform shape or the entire screen.
