Note: A few days after I walked through Yahoo, grabbed the screen shots and wrote this tip, the look of my Yahoo Mail completely changed. Right now there appears to be no option for adjusting the number of messages on in this updated version. But I’ll keep looking for a solution and let you know if I find one..
Dan, the first thing you’ll need to do is log onto your Yahoo! mail account and click the little gear in the upper right of the page. Then select Mail Options from the drop-down menu.
Or, just select the Options tab at the top of your Inbox.
At the top of the list in Options, you’ll find Behavior. There you can select the number of messages displayed per page from a drop-down menu.
Remember to select Save, in order to save your changes. I have a bad habit of skipping that step and wondering why my changes don’t stick.

This tip is not accurate for Yahoo Mail Plus. In options, the Behavior section only has 1 option, Enable Preview Pane. Nowhere could I find the number of messages to display.
does not work in regular yahoo mail..same problem.
Yahoo is losing users in droves. They keep fixing things that aren’t broken and then breaking them. I know users that have been there 15 years who are leaving. I will likely be one of them and I am a plus subscriber. They do not listen to feedback, they make it impossible to talk to a customer service specialist though that is supposed to be part of the Plus subscription. The service has deteriorated enormously over the last two years. It does NOT remember what you “save” in options. And they keep removing options. Horrible company.

i have phone 4 times and they hung up on me each time as they could not understand what i wanted. I need to know what date i opened my email account at yahoo and also when i closed my old one and they are refusing to give this information. I can only get emails for one week and i do not have a options tab so dont know where to got from here

The option to choose more than the standard number per page in the inbox was REMOVED by Marissa Mayer in late 2-14 or early 2015. Many other nice features went away then too.

You are bull-*&%!ting people. Why I am unable to scroll down ALL my mails, even those I DID NOT delete and OLD ones of long time ago I kept?!?
And who is Marissa Mayer? The GOD_QUEEN pin?
Just scroll down in newest version. The number of emails shown does not have limit as far as I can tell. Looked through settings, info, etc., forever trying to figure this out. Felt sorta dumb after I scrolled down and accidentally discovered the answer, lol.
