Private browsing means that you can browse without the pages you visit being recorded. It also doesn’t save temporary internet files, cookies and form data. However, private browsing will still not be hidden from your employer, government or service provider. Any files that you download or bookmarks that you create will also be stored on your computer. With that in mind, let’s see how to browse in private with Firefox.

1. Open Firefox from your Desktop or Start Menu. Double click on it.

2. The Firefox browser will open. Click on the button which has three lines stacked on one another. This button is in the right hand corner.

3. A small menubar will open giving you a variety of options. Click on the button which says “New Private Page”.

4. A new window will open which is a private browser, allowing you to browse without your browsing being recorded.

5. Proceed to browse as you normally would. When you are finished browsing, make sure to close all the windows.
