Glad to help, Mary. It’s pretty easy to print from the Photos app in Windows 10. First, tap on the Photos app icon to open or click on any of your photographs in the Pictures file of your library.
Select the photo you want to print.
The window below will open.
In the upper-right corner, choose the the icon that looks like 3 dots. Select Print from the drop-down menu. Whenever you’re looking for an option like print in any program or app, always look for an icon with three dots or three lines. That indicates a menu.
You’ll get options to choose your printer and select landscape or portrait.
Click More settings and you can also collate items, choose the paper size and type of paper.
For more print options. Click that 3-dot menu again and choose Open with.
Choose Windows Photo Viewer
When Photo Viewer opens, you can select the Print option in the upper left corner.
You can then choose from several print options that let you print multiple copies of photos on the page. You can also pick paper size and type as well as choose print quality.
Another way to open and print photos ia by selecting them from the Pictures library in File Explorer.
Right-click on any photo and choose Open with from the menu. The select Photo Viewer.

That is a huge amount of steps to print a photo.
Clicking on a photo and then selecting print isn’t that many steps. It’s no more steps than it ever took to print a photo. I’m just offering up all the options available.
This is not only fussy it is downright stupid! And it also doesn’t answer the question when you want to include images in a word document – they just don’t print.
Microsoft, not for the first time, is just too controlling.

I don’t understand why the basic need of printing multiple photos on a page is not an automatic perfectly obvious task in Windows, nor why it takes an internet search to find directions. So far my multiple internet searches for this basic need have not succeeded.
Exactly, Kristin. Why should I have to print photos on expensive sheets of photo paper individually instead of 1 sheet?
I just want to be able to click on photos, select 2 or more photos, and click print. Why is that so hard to do?

The steps provided did not work on my computer, the three dots disappeared when I open the folder and/or clicked on a photo. Fastest way to print is to click on photo and drag it to desk top. Right click on the photo file icon you just dragged over and print it.
I am having the same problem I want to print a few photos on one page and I don’t seem to be able to do it.
The photos program does not give me an option to print Ledger paper (11 x 17) to my printer. Paint and other programs allow me to, but photos does not have that option. Windows 7 had it. I am able to select Ledger for printing on all other programs except Photos.
I want to print a few photos on one page – and cannot find a solution.
Windows Photo Viewer used to do this with no problem, now it’s not possible.
Is it worth asking Microsoft to listen to its users, or shall we look elsewhere?
You can still do this. Photo viewer is still there in Windows 10.
