So you’ve created a YouTube channel and recorded your first video. Now we’re ready to upload that video. Let see how it’s done. I’ll show you how to upload from both a smartphone or from your PC.
If you’re using a phone, you’ll need to open up the YouTube app. Make sure you’re logged into your account, t00. Start by tapping the video camera icon at the top of the screen.
The first time you use, you’ll need to give permission for the app to access your pictures and video.
Select the video you wish to upload.
Move the blue handles to change the in and out points of the video if you need to.
Click the Effects icon for a choice of filters to apply.
Click the music note icon to add music.
You’ll have a limited choice of songs. I wouldn’t add this if your video already has sound.
Add your Title, Description, and choose the privacy settings. Then click the arrow at the top-right of the screen.
Your video will begin to upload.
In just a few minutes, it will be ready to play. If the privacy setting is public, anyone who looks at your channel will be able to see it.
To upload from a PC, you’ll need to go to YouTube and log in.
Choose the upload icon on the upper right of the page.
Set the privacy for the video you’re uploading and click the big arrow.
Select the video or videos.
Put in a name and description for the video.
Choose a thumbnail to represent the video.
Then hit publish.
You’ll be given the option to share the video via social media or email.
And in a few minutes, the video will be available to watch on your channel
