Many of us are trying to take control of our weight, but finding what’s best for you can be tricky. I’ve drastically changed the way I eat over the past few months with some good results, but what works for me won’t necessarily work for everyone.
With so many books and so-called experts out there, it can be confusing. Web MD has a great site where they compare dozens of the most popular diet plans. They cover everything from Weight Watchers to Paleo to raw food diets.
For each diet, they break down the promise, what types of food you can and cannot eat, the level of effort to stick to it, and any special shopping requirements.
They also check to see if the diet works with dietary restrictions like low-salt, low-fat, or veganism. Plus they examine the cost and let you know what medical experts think of the diet. It’s a great way to compare plans but also be aware of hidden expenses or health risks.
