If you use both Gmail and Dropbox cloud storage, there’s a new add-on for Gmail that’s going to make your life a lot easier.
You’ll be able to access and share any of your Dropbox files without leaving the Gmail inbox. Plus you can save any files from your email to Dropbox without the need to open another app.
It works with any browser and in the Gmail app for your Android phone. Dropbox says it will work the iPhone app very soon.
Here’s how to get it. Follow this link to the G Suite Marketplace:

You’ll be taken to the page for the Dropbox add-on.
Click on Install.
You’ll have to give permission for the add-on to install.
Then log on to your Gmail account.
You’ll see a long list of permissions. If you want to be able to share files between Gmail and Dropbox, these are all necessary.
It should install in a few seconds. You’ll see this confirmation. Click the Done button.
When you open your Gmail inbox, you’ll see the Dropbox logo on the right.
Tomorrow, we’ll look at how to use your Dropbox add-on.
