Here’s a quick tip on how you can keep hackers from making off with your Facebook page. Yesterday I showed you how to do it from a browser. (Click here to read that article) Today, I’ll show you how it works on the mobile app.
Open your Facebook app and click the three-line menu icon at the top right.
Scroll down to Settings and Privacy.
Under Security, choose Security and Login.
You’ll see the option to get alerts about logins from unrecognized devices as well as a list of devices on which you’re currently logged into Facebook.
If you didn’t log into that device or perhaps accidentally left yourself logged onto a device like a work computer or a friend’s phone, you can tap the device to let Facebook know you want to log out or to report an unauthorized log in.
To receive alerts about logins from unfamiliar devices, tap Get alerts about unrecognized devices. You’ll have option to receive alerts via Facebook, Messenger, email, or to add a mobile number to receive texts.
If you tell Facebook a login is not authorized, they’ll lock the account and give you instructions to reset the password.
