Animal Intelligence

This three page article with both images and .GIFs talks all about the animal operatives that helped the CIA throughout the Cold War.

I can’t even remember how I stumbled across this gem, all I know is that I loved reading about the different ways the CIA trained animals and the pictures were a really interesting addition for fleshing out the article.

Did you know ravens can be trained to drop pieces of gray slate on rooftops that were concealing electronic transmitters strong enough to transmit any conversation it was near? They also trained cats, dogs, goats, pigs, and even dolphins!

Now about Navigation,  you can choose to read this in three pages by using the page numbers at the bottom of the article, or you can scroll down to the where the page numbers are and select Single Page to view it all at once.  I chose to view it as a single page. And I started my journey by looking at the images of the animal in the gallery above the article.

Okay, what are you waiting for? Go learn about animal espionage today!
