Sync Gmail between phone and PC

A reader has an email question:

“I use Gmail and it appears on both my computer monitor and cell phone.  So far, I haven’t been able to figure out how to delete a mail message on both locales at the same time.  I have to delete the message on my cell and then delete the same message when I’m in Gmail.  I use the Gmail app on my phone and access it via Is there some way I can delete the message from both sources at the same time?”

If you’re using the Gmail app on your phone and accessing Gmail via a web browser on your PC, your inboxes should sync almost instantly automatically.

If that’s not happening, here’s what to do. Open Gmail in your browser and click the gear symbol at the top right.
