I’ve mentioned this before a time or two but I still get questions about it. Recently, I did a free eBook giveaway from Amazon and some readers said they’d like to check out the book but didn’t have a Kindle.

The good news is that you don’t need a Kindle-branded device to read Amazon eBooks.  You can read on a PC, Mac, tablet, phone, or even a Nook.

Here’s how to do it on other devices.

Nook – Modern nooks are basically Android tablets that have been modified to work as eReaders. Just go to the Google Play store and look for the Kindle app. It’s free to download.

Android phones and tablets – Just as with a Nook, head to the Google Play Store and look for the Kindle Android app. It’s free to download by clicking here.

If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, head over to the Apple App store and look for Amazon Kinde.  Or click here to check it out.

If you’re using a Windows PC, you can click here to download the desktop app.
