Get unrecognized login alerts

Worried about someone hacking your Facebook account? Here’s a quick tip on how to be notified if anyone logs in from an unusual location or device. In a browser, click the arrow at the top right of your feed and choose Settings from the drop-down menu.

The choose Security and Login.

Select Get alerts about unrecognized logins under Security and Login. Click Edit.

You’ll have the option to receive alerts on Facebook, the Facebook Messenger app, or via your email if anyone logs on to your account from an unrecognized device. Don’t forget to save the changes.

To set up alerts on your smartphone. Click the three-line menu icon

Choose Settings and Privacy.

Select Settings.

Then Scroll down to Security and tap on Security and Login.

Tap on Get alerts about unrecognized logins.

Choose from Facebook, Messenger, or email alerts.
