A reader wants some assistance with some unwanted icons.
When I copy photos (or download) to my PC, they show up with an icon over them making it difficult to see the thumbnail. Is there any way to remove these icons? Is it something I am doing that is putting them there. It happens with videos also.
Those icons are actually giving you some good news. They’re telling you that your third-party security software had backed up your images.
But I can understand that they make it difficult to tell just what you’re looking at without opening the file.
Here’s how to take care of them. Open your security software and go to Settings. Then find Backup Settings. Slide the button next to Backup Status Overlays to the Off position.
