Here’s a quick tip about a handy feature in Google Photos. You can use Utilities to automatically rotate images.
Start by opening Google Photos in a browser.
At the left, click on Utilities.
A screen with Photos Assistants opens.
Choose Suggested rotations. Click on Review suggestions.
Photos will automatically rotate the images it thinks need it.
If you don’t like the suggestion, you can click the lower-right of the image to rotate it back.
If you’re happy with the suggested rotations, click on Save All in the upper-right corner of the page.
