Foxit Reader is a free PDF reader that allows you to both read and sign PDF files. It’s a favorite of many readers and available for Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. Let’s check how you can get it.
Start by heading over to their website at https://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf-reader/
Click on the blue download button.

Choose your language and operating system. Then grant your browser permission to download.
Go to your Downloads folder and double-click to start the installation.

The installation wizard will launch.

Accept the terms of service and choose where to install.

You have the choice to create desktop and start menu shortcuts and to choose Foxit Reader as your default PDF viewer. You can also decide if you want the files displayed in a browser.

Choosing Safe reading mode can help protect your PC from malware attached to PDF files.

They’ll try to get you to install a free 14-day trial of their premium PDF editing software. I suggest unticking that box before continuing the installation.

Once you click install, it will just take a minute or so to finish.

When it’s done, click Finish.

Foxit PDF is now ready to use.

We’ll take a tour of the app tomorrow.
