Yahoo announced the end of a popular feature of its free email service. Starting on January 1, 2021, the company will no longer allow automatic forwarding to another email address on free accounts.
Now, you can set your Yahoo messages to go directly to your Outlook, Gmail, or other online account. That way you only need to check one accounts instead of two.

Starting January 1, that features is only available to paying customers. The company said the change is intended to keep accounts secure but there just might be a profit motive in there somewhere.
Your ability to send and receive email will not be affected in any other way.
If you’d like to keep the forwarding feature, there are two options:
- Upgrade to Yahoo Pro for $3.49 a month.
- Sign up for Access + Forwarding for $12 a year.
Verizon purchased both Yahoo and AOL and merged them into one company back in 2017.
