There’s a hidden feature of Google Chrome browser that many users don’t know about. Did you know the browser can scan your PC for malicious software and remove it?
Here’s how to do it. Open the Chrome browser, click the three-dot menu icon at the top-right, and choose settings.
This window will open.
Scroll all the way down to the bottom of Settings, (you may need to click Advanced) and look for Reset and clean up. Click the arrow next to Clean up computer.
Under Find and remove harmful software, click Find.
Chrome will then scan your computer.
If Chrome finds a problem, you have the option to check the details. If you’d like to remove the program, just click Remove. You also have a choice of allowing Chrome to report the details to Google.
What a great computer hint. cynmackley is a gem!
