ABCya

Welcome to ABCya, a site devoted to bringing great games and interactive learning to kids in Kindergarten to Middle School!

The site is brightly colored, warm, and welcoming. And navigation options abound – there’s the search engine at the top of the page, the grade levels on the tree, the featured content, and even featured applications for the smartphones and tablets. There’s even a link just for Parents and Teachers.

I also really lovely that they note what grade level their featured content is for, so that there’s no guessing about whether that activity is appropriate for your child’s grade level. They can just dive right into their category.

Once you start exploring by grade level, you’ll notice that each section has the same categories. They are Letters, Numbers, Holiday, Strategy and Skill. They also list the Common Core standards for that grade level. There are both free and premium options.

I thought the games I tried were very cute and educational! Have your kids check them out today!

  1. This site and activities seem like useful tools, however having just read about downloading unwanted applications (piggy-backed on another download) I’m concerned to download from this site. Why is it necessary to download rather than use the apps right on the site?

    Thanks so much.

    1. Kathy, there are many games that you can play online on the site. The apps are for downloading to use on a tablet.

    2. The easiest thing to do is click on a grade level and then start the games. You can then avoid the downloaded games.
