Looking for a super-private alternative to Chrome and Edge? Consider Opera, a browser with a built-in ad-blocker and VPN.
To install, click here to head on over to the download page.
Opera is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and even to install on a USB drive as a portable browser. There’s also a version for Android. To get started, I’ll click the download button.

You’ll need to give permission for your browser to download. Go to your Downloads folder and double-click on the set-up file for Opera.

The Opera installer wizard will open and ask your permission to proceed.

Then sit back and watch the installation.

Here’s what it looks like when it finishes.

If you use Messenger or What’sApp Messaging, you can choose to receive messages in your sidebar. There’s an option to turn on an ad blocker and a VPN for more privacy. If you use crypto currencies like Bitcoin, you can also set up a Crypto Wallet. If you choose Messenger, you will need to log into your account. That literally takes 20 seconds.

Now, you’re all ready to browse.
